Aristoi like to think of themselves as of the best representatives of Achaeans. They consider themselves the most valiant, wisest beings, endowed with the highest morals. According to the opinion promoted in media they were these outstanding features that granted their present position in social hierarchy.
Maybe there is some truth in it.
Maybe these noble citizens would be respected even if they didn’t have a huge wealth coming from the ambrosia they own.
Maybe they would be more proficient and cleverer than others even if the purest Nectar on the market didn’t flow through their veins.
